KIRO 7 IMAGE | The process
Role: Producer, videographer
This Telly award-winning spot is an unscripted image promo designed to build trust through transparency.
In this piece, I highlighted our main anchors—Monique Ming-Laven and Aaron Wright—as they reflected on what it means to sit at the desk each day and deliver the news. Rather than rely on polished soundbites, we captured honest moments about the responsibility of informing the public and the care that goes into verifying every fact before it’s shared on air.
As producer and videographer, I shaped the tone and direction of this promo to feel genuine, conversational, and rooted in purpose. It was a chance to take viewers behind the scenes and show how seriously our team takes their role—and why it matters.
KIRO 7 image | REAL VOICES, REAL CHANGE
Role: Producer
THIS EMMY-NOMINATED IMAGE PROMO, seen by thousands of viewers across western Washington, aired during the Super Bowl and centered on one goal—building trust.
This spot doesn’t rely on anchor reads or narration. Instead, it lets real people speak for themselves—sharing personal stories of injustice, frustration, and the real-life impact of the issues we investigate. Every voice you hear is someone who turned to KIRO 7 Investigates for help.
As producer, I crafted this promo to highlight the power of investigative journalism—not just as a reporting tool, but as a force for change. It’s raw, emotional, and rooted in community, reinforcing the message that we don’t just report problems—we help fight to fix them.
Kiro 7 image | Breaking news in the morning
Role: Producer, videographer, editor
This image promo was part of a campaign designed to build trust and drive viewership for KIRO 7 News in the Morning. I featured our morning anchors and meteorologist in a candid, unscripted sit-down—focusing on why what we do each morning matters to the people watching.
As producer, videographer an editor, I created a conversational promo that highlights the team’s commitment to delivering urgent, relevant news when viewers need it most. By grounding the messaging in authenticity and heart, the goal was to connect with our audience on a deeper level—and remind them why our morning team is a trusted part of their daily routine.
kiro 7 image | pinpoint weather: more than an app
Role: Producer, videographer, editor
In an age where most people check the weather on their phones, this image PROMO set out to remind viewers why expertise still matters. I created a candid sit-down promo featuring our morning meteorologist, Nick Allard, spotlighting his passion, precision, and personal connection to forecasting in the Pacific Northwest.
As producer, videographer, and editor, my goal was to build trust and loyalty by showing viewers why they can rely on Nick—not just for forecasts, but for context, accuracy, and the kind of local insight no app can provide. This campaign served as both a brand builder and a strategic push to increase morning news viewership.
